How to play

Eight steps from sign-up to final whistle.

Everything you need to put together your first lineup, understand the deadline and follow your points through a matchday.

01Setup

Create your account

  • Register with a valid email address and confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
  • Choose a display name — this is how you will appear on contest leaderboards.
  • Review your account settings, including any personal limits you want to set before you start.
02Contest

Pick a matchday and a contest

  • Open the contest list for the upcoming round of fixtures.
  • Each contest card shows the fixtures it covers, the lineup deadline, the number of places and its own rules.
  • Read the contest details in full before joining — the format and any entry conditions are listed there.
03Lineup

Build your eleven

  • You have 100 credits. Every player has a price based on recent form and role.
  • Your lineup must contain 1 goalkeeper, 3–5 defenders, 2–5 midfielders and 1–3 forwards.
  • You can select no more than 4 players from the same club, so a single team cannot carry your whole lineup.
04Armband

Name a captain and a vice-captain

  • Your captain earns double points for the matchday.
  • Your vice-captain earns 1.5× points — a useful hedge if the captain has a quiet afternoon.
  • The two roles must go to different players.
05Lock

Check the deadline

  • Lineups lock at the kick-off of the first match covered by the contest.
  • Until then you can swap players, change formation or move the armband as often as you like.
  • Keep an eye on team news — a late injury or a benched star is the most common reason for a wasted slot.
06Live

Follow the points live

  • Once matches begin, every recorded action adds or removes points from your players.
  • The contest leaderboard updates as data comes in, so you can see your position change in real time.
  • Official data corrections may adjust a score shortly after a match ends.
07Results

Read the final table

  • When the last fixture of the contest is complete, scores are confirmed and the leaderboard is settled.
  • Ties are separated by the rule stated in each contest's details.
  • Any rewards attached to a contest are described on the contest card before you join — nothing is added afterwards.
08Review

Learn and go again

  • Open your lineup breakdown to see which picks paid off and which ones cost you.
  • Prices shift between matchdays as form changes, so last week's bargain may not be next week's.
  • Start fresh with the next round — every matchday is a clean slate.
Lineup rules

Four numbers to remember.

These limits apply to every standard contest. Special formats spell out any differences on their contest card.

11

Players in every lineup, always in a valid football formation.

100

Credits available. Unspent credits do not carry over to the next matchday.

4

Maximum players you can take from any single club.

1

Goalkeeper, no more and no fewer. Outfield shapes are up to you.

Practical tips

Small habits, better lineups.

None of these guarantee a result — football is too unpredictable for that — but they remove the most common avoidable mistakes.

Check minutes before reputation

A player who reaches 60 minutes collects extra points and qualifies for a clean sheet. Squad rotation can quietly wreck an expensive pick.

Captain the dependable, not the flashy

The armband doubles everything, including a blank. A consistent performer with set-piece duties is often a safer choice than a streaky finisher.

Look for cheap defenders with attacking roles

Full-backs who take corners or push into the box can collect assists and clean-sheet points for a fraction of a forward's price.

Spread your fixtures

Picking from several matches reduces the damage if one game turns into a goalless stalemate or an early red card changes the plan.
